At 96 years old, Shaare Emeth member, author, and nurse, Elsie Roth continues to inspire with her lifelong commitment to truth, civility, and compassion.

This evening, Elsie will share the remarkable story of how she helped secure the long-overdue Medal of Honor for her father and for Sgt. Johnson—two WWI heroes denied recognition for decades because of antisemitism and racism.

Come be moved by Elsie’s story of perseverance, justice, and hope.

Intertwine is a joint program between Parkway United Church of Christ, The Turkish American Society of Missouri, and Congregation Shaare Emeth.
