Gathering for Gratitude – A Morning of Giving Back

Sunday, November 23
10 – 11:30 a.m.

Deeds of giving are the very foundation of the world. Pirke Avot 1:2

Projects at Temple this year will include:

  • New special project for our preschool-age children and families.

  • New projects for organizations in need, especially ones that are continuing to serve those impacted by the tornado.

  • This year, we will assemble 100 Thanksgiving meals for the senior immigrants at Monarch Immigration Services (formerly known as BIAS).
We need volunteers to donate the cooked food items for 100 meals.
Please click HERE for the sign-up genius.

  • If you cannot attend, consider donating $18, which will buy supplies for one of the organizations we are supporting during Gathering for Gratitude, such as the Peter and Paul Shelter, Oak Hill Elementary School, St. Louis Diaper Bank, or Thanksgiving meals for immigrants at Monarch Immigration Services

Any additional funds are greatly appreciated.

Registration closes November 19.

Assemble gratitude bags for the staff of Oak Hill Elementary School in St. Louis City. Additionally, create gel ice packs for the nursing staff.

Assemble birthday kits for the food pantry to help food-insecure families celebrate birthdays.

Bake doggie treats and make toys that are needed by the Humane Society.

Assemble bags of needed supplies for unhoused men who use Peter and Paul as a shelter.

Bake and bag muffins for those still experiencing food insecurity from the tornado that impacted St. Louis last spring.

Assemble treat bags for parents and grandparents to give to their children/grandchildren when they pick them up from school or activities.

There are still members of our St. Louis community who do not have a permanent home after the Tornado's destruction. To help, we will assemble winter supply bags for these members of our larger community.

Assemble blessing bags of needed supplies for the unhoused. We will provide these bags to First Presbyterian Church on Delmar for church members to give to the unhoused during the winter.
